I'm 48. I'm a married, mum of two. I have recently started to notice that I'm suddenly feeling very very hot and a bit anxious. One child is just about to go to uni and the other about to start sixth form college.  Hubby and I have  an easy, uncomplicated marriage,and genuine love for each other, as well as a mutual feeling of love and pride towards our beautiful children. Two, much adored dogs and a comfortable home, complete our package!

 

I also have a neuromuscular condition, called Charcot Marie Tooth or CMT, which conjures up images of a breed of French shark with enormous teeth, to me anyway.  Not the case, just the surnames of the doctors who named the condition. Not an unheard of condition, my consultant tells me, although I have never met anyone who just nods and says “Oh yes! I know the one” when I've told them the medical name!
